S4The 2015 AVPN Annual Conference will be held from April 20th-22nd at the National University of Singapore UTown campus.

Next year’s conference will be even bigger than before, with more opportunities to network, learn and share. Day 1 of the conference will only be available to AVPN members, with in-depth country sharing and exclusive networking during curated dinner discussions. The next 2 days will involve more than 400 delegates from across Asia, speaking on their practical experiences of ‘doing’ venture philanthropy.

Venture Philanthropy encompasses a set of practices that help deliver greater effectiveness in philanthropy. These practices include due diligence processes on potential grantees or investees, capacity building of these organisations, assessment of social impact, managing a portfolio to impact a sector and partnering effectively across private, public and civil society sectors. For the new philanthropist seeking to engage with the sector, we invite you to explore these practice areas in more detail and identify the ones that are most relevant for you to start journey. For seasoned practitioners, we invite you to share with and learn from the community.

We will be welcoming delegates from our 170+ member organisations comprising venture philanthropy organisations, impact investment funds, private equity, wealth management, academic and grant-making institutions to this event, as we advance the practice of venture philanthropy in Asia. In addition, some of the world’s best known leaders from the social finance, business, governmental and academic sectors will be joining us to examine the latest developments in the philanthropic and social investment community.

For more information on the event please check out www.avpn2015.com – please check back for updated programme and speakers. Member registration will commence in December 2014 and wider registration for the social investing community will open in January 2015.
