AVPN finished the analysis of our 2014 survey responses and wanted to share with everyone some of the key findings. Members expressed that the top four value added areas provided by AVPN included network and interactions with other like-minded people, the annual conference, the collaboration opportunities and the connections. In line with this, members found AVPN’s “in person events” most valuable. For this reason, we will be organizing more small gatherings in 2015. In Singapore, we will continue to hold monthly casual get-togethers for community and friends around a topic of common interest. We also plan to visit various other membership countries and plan to organize a few other events while we are there. Please do expect a visit from us very soon.

AVPN Network value %
Network 31%
Annual conference 9%
Collaboration in deals 11%
Webinars/events 9%
Knowledge Access 11%
People 3%
Connections 9%
Not clear 9%
Other 9%

Our members’ top areas of interest are education, livelihood-employment, enterprise development, health and community development. The new website, which will be launched before our conference in April 2015, will provide members with the ability to personalize their interests by joining specialized groups within the network.

We were very happy to learn that most survey respondents expressed their willingness to recommend AVPN’s membership to others. This is very important to us as it is an indication of our members’ satisfaction. Some of our members included explicit examples of the value added by our network, which included examples such as raising awareness of other VP models, the Asia knowledge, brand exposure, inspiration, promotion of portfolio companies and professional affiliation. We want to continue improving our services moving forward and in 2015, we aim to provide more networking opportunities, make connections and further engage with each and every member to deeply understand your needs and how to service them. Lastly, we wanted to thank all of the members that took the effort and time to participate in our survey. We also wanted to congratulate the Yeh Family Philanthropy for winning the $500 annual membership discount for identifying themselves in the survey. Take part in the next member survey to get your discount!
