This November, AVPN is organizing a first of its kind study tour to Europe – bringing a group of policy makers from Asia to not only study and learn from successful models of social investing in Europe, but also to learn from each other during the journey. Confirmed delegates come from Hong Kong, China, Japan, and India, and they will be visiting Berlin, Brussels and London. In each city, they will get to meet with government officials to hear about their experiences on collaborating with corporates and social organisations in order to bring social innovation to scale. This study trip on tri-sector collaboration will also bring the delegates to the 10th EVPA Conference in Berlin.
This tour programme has been jointly organised with BMW Foundation, EVPA and British Council.
Interestingly, the landmark conference will cover questions such as:
- What will it take to achieve exponential growth in the European Venture Philanthropy sector in the next ten years?
- How do we break down barriers to raising capital for social entrepreneurs and investors?
- Are governments doing enough to stimulate social enterprise?
Bringing together European grant makers, investors, investees, VP organisations and experts from North and Southern Europe, the conference themed “Collaborating for Social Impact: the Next 10 Years” will be a platform to come together to discuss the future of the Venture Philanthropy and Social Investment sector.AVPN members get 50% off for the conference!
