Re-Constructing Philanthropy Paul Shoemaker, Executive Connector of Social Venture Partners (SVP), has published an article on five philanthropic practices that encourage funders to work with an orientation from the outside-in, grounded in how social change truly happens, instead of what can oftentimes be a funder’s inside-out approach of assuming their grants, in order to generate greater impact. The work is based on Paul’s 17 years working as a funder and as an engaged partner with non-profits and targeted to fellow funders, both institutions and individuals.
