AVPN’s Capability Development Model webinar series – Pre-Engagement

Share

avpn-cap-model

AVPN’s Capability Development Model (CDM) is an organizational development road map designed around a set of five venture philanthropy (VP) practice areas to help members make sense of best practices and frameworks in the sector.

For the month of July, AVPN will introduce and dive into the first practice area of Pre-engagement. The challenges of Pre-engagement often are to locate suitable deals and make due diligence affordable and efficient. The first step in the social investing journey is to locate impact and investment-ready organisations and to screen and structure the engagement so that it is mutually beneficial for investor and investee.

Caspian Impact Advisers will share how they structure their pre-engagement processes through emphasizing pre-launch work, utilizing sector experts to lower the costs and using the term sheet negotiations as a test for the relationship.
