Our History
How it all started
AVPN came to life in 2011. After forming the European Venture Philanthropy Association (EVPA) in 2004, our founder Doug Miller was keen to create a similar network in Asia, for diverse funders and resource providers to collaborate and move capital towards impact. In 15 years, AVPN has reached over 700 members in our network. We are also the only platform in Asia that serves the full spectrum of social investors.
How we do it
Improve effectiveness of members across Asia
Multi-Sector Collaboration is a cornerstone of our work. We break down silos and encourage collaboration across sectors to improve the effectiveness of our members in Asia. Today, we have a network of over 600 members from the private, public and people sectors.
