Our History
How it all started
AVPN was founded in 2011 by Doug Miller as Asia’s first venture philanthropy network led by Asian leadership. Inspired by the success of the European Venture Philanthropy Association (EVPA), he recognised the need for a platform that could bring together diverse funders and resource providers to move capital towards impact across Asia.
Over the past 15 years, AVPN has evolved alongside Asia’s impact ecosystem. Today, AVPN is Asia’s largest ecosystem builder for impact, bringing together a community of over 700 resource providers, innovators and intermediaries from across 43 markets collaborate to mobilise capital.
