Achal Agarwal is a global consumer executive with 4 decades of experience, of which 30 years have been in leadership roles with leading consumer MNCs. He is currently a “Luminary” Senior Advisor for Accenture and an independent non–executive Director on the boards of Amcor PLC (NYSE: AMCR) and SATS Ltd (SGX : S58). He is also the Trustee of WWF Singapore’s Conservation Fund. Achal was till end 2022 Chairman of the Board of WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature), Singapore. He was a member of the Global Leadership team of Kimberly-Clark Corporation and in end 2020 retired as the Global Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer. Prior to this, Achal was the President for Kimberly-Clark’s Asia Pacific business. Before joining Kimberly-Clark, Mr. Agarwal was the Business Unit GM in PepsiCo’s sub-Sahara business and prior to that was the Chief Operating Officer of PepsiCo’s China Beverage Business Unit. He also served in India as PepsiCo’s General Manager in the East and South India Market Units and in a variety of roles in ICI (Imperial Chemical Industries Plc). Achal was awarded Asia Business Leader of the Year by CNBC in 2016. He transformed the China businesses of PepsiCo and Kimberly Clark from sub-scale to leadership positions. He has served on the board of Singapore International Chamber of Commerce and was a council member of Singapore Business Federation. He has spoken in business schools like Insead, NUS, SMU and in forums organized by the Economist, Milken Institute, HCLI, Forbes CEO forum, etc. He is based in Singapore with his wife and two daughters.
