As Head of Partnerships, Alwi?s primary responsibility is to facilitate mutually beneficial partnerships to better execute and scale GAR?s projects in the areas of conservation, community empowerment and smallholder support.

Alwi previously held leadership roles as the Managing Director of BSI Group in ASEAN, Director of Operations (Asia Pacific and Japan) and General Manager (ASEAN) at Hewlett-Packard Consulting and Integration.

Active in industry and community, Alwi currently serves as a Board Member of Mercy Relief, the Malay Heritage Foundation and Mendaki Social Enterprise Network. He was appointed Trustee Emeritus by Nanyang Technological University in April 2018. Alwi also serves on the Community Advisory Panel of Honour Singapore. He previously served on the Boards of the Singapore Land Transport Authority (2008-2017), Nanyang Technological University (2004-2017), Yayasan Mendaki, the Association of Muslim Professionals, Singapore Civil Service College and Singapore Science Center.

Alwi?s current interests include the directed use of technology and innovation, sustainable development and community issues.
