Amit leads the India Citizenship portfolio for Credit Suisse, focusing on the bank’s philanthropic interventions in education, skill development and livelihoods in India. Previously, he’s worked with the Godrej group managing community investments and sustainability practices for group companies. His portfolio at Godrej included innovation driven enterprises in the vocational skill development and livelihoods ecosystem. Having started his career in technology, Amit has having been part of the founding teams of two early stage social enterprises in the healthcare space before moving to UNICEF as State Coordinator - Monitoring & Evaluation in Bihar. With a double Masters in Public Policy & Human Development, Amit is an alumnus of the United Nations University and has spent nearly a decade in development consulting, research and social enterprise strategy.
