Anil Sinha is currently Advisor South Asia, Global Impact Investors Network and Senior Strategic Advisor 2030 Water Resources Group, World Bank. 

He has about forty years experience in development and financé across five continents. He spent 23years were with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) World Bank Group including as Regional Head South Asia, IFC Advisory Services and Regional Head Inclusive Business ( joint IFC and World Bank position). He set up and managed four verticals: Access To Finance, Sustainable Business Advisory, PPP and Investment Climate. He was awarded the prestigious World Bank Group Diversity and Inclusive Leadership Global Ward. He was also a core Member of the global leadership group IFC Advisory Services.

After retirement from IFC and World Bank, he promotes impact investing through the Global Impact Investors Network, the largest network and think tank related to impact investing. He was also one the core group involved in the setting up of India?s Impact Investors Council to promote impact investing in India.  

As Senior Advisor to 2030Water Resources Group, this Group promotes collective action by establishing public- private sector - civil society platforms to tackle water resources challenges.  

Post retirement, he was also Chairman of the Advisory Board of Millenium Alliance, a competition platform to identify and support innovative social enterprises in key sectors including South-South replication which is managed by FICCI and funded by Govt of India, USAID, DFID and the private sector. 

He joined IFC as an international staff in 1992 starting as an Investment Office and prior to IFC, he was with the private sector in project finance and consulting and was the Managing Director of a consultancy company.
