Avi has been working in the nonprofit sector for 15 years. She started as a volunteer for human rights local NGOs in Jakarta. Avi holds a Bachelor Degree in Political Science from the University of Indonesia in Jakarta and a Masters Degree in International Political Economy and Development from the Institute of Social Studies, University of Erasmus, The Hague, The Netherlands. Avi specialised in gender mainstreaming work, disaster reduction and recovery, sustainable livelihood and conservation for community development. Her role in program development, monitoring and evaluation, and fundraising started since 2007 when she joined Oxfam International for a Disaster Recovery program in Aceh, Indonesia. She then led the Development Department at IDEP Foundation, a national organisation based in Bali. Avi also supported program initiation and fundraising for CTI-CFF, a multilateral entity of six countries in the coral triangle area. At the moment, Avi works as an Independent Consultant and Capacity Building Facilitator for many local and national organisations. She is also a member of the Board of Executives of IDEP Foundation.
