About

Aya is a Markets Manager in AVPN's Japan team.  She is responsible for fostering collaboration between Japanese and global social investment and strategic philanthropy stakeholders.

She has over 7 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, and project management. She has prior experience coordinating projects for NGOs in post conflict areas in Myanmar. She is also the founder of Mee Pya Tike ("lighthouse" in Burmese), a social venture that provides free digital emotional support for youth in Myanmar.

Given her prior experience of building, fund raising for and working with social enterprises, she strongly believes that social and impact investment is central to creating a peaceful and sustainable world.

She holds a MA in International Law and Human Rights in United Nations Mandated University for Peace in Costa Rica, and is a qualified professional coach.
