Caroline Essame is a Social Entrepreneur, CEO of CreateCATT and founder and pioneer of "Developmental Play" ? a new approach to pre-verbal creative work with children. Trained in Arts, Play and Occupational Therapy she has a Master?s Degree in Education, specialising in play based learning, and over 35 year?s experience in health, therapy, education and development. A senior consultant clinician in Singapore she set up the first Masters in Art Therapy in Asia for LASALLE and the Expressive Arts Therapy Post Grad Diploma at Singapore University of Social Sciences and is an award winning adult educator at the Social Services Institute. She is visiting creative play consultant for Deepti Special School in Kerala, India and Kaleidoscope Therapy and Learning Center in The Philippines and developed the first creative arts centre for children on the autistic spectrum in Malaysia. She works across Asia as a trainer and consultant and has been working with the LEGO Foundation on advocating for play based learning as the foundation for developing 21st Century Skills.
