Darren McConnell is Chief Financial and Operating Officer at Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation, Australia’s largest leading Community Foundation. He has an extensive career in the Philanthropic and financial services sector having worked for the past 30 years with financial services, high-net worth family groups, private philanthropists, and large family offices servicing philanthropic trusts and foundations.

Darren has broad financial services, governance and granting experience and he has held board positions including company secretary for a regional scholarship foundation.

In his current position, Darren manages all facets of the Foundation’s finance, investments and operations and also assists with advising donors on how to grow their personal philanthropy and maximise their social impact. 

Darren is enthusiastic about further developing the Foundation’s strategies in impact investing and responsible investment.
