Dien Marbella is a Programme Associate at AVPN, where she supports the design and implementation of regional initiatives that bring together funders, ecosystem partners, and practitioners to drive more coordinated and sustained social impact across Asia. Her work focuses on stakeholder engagement, programme coordination, and fostering collaboration across diverse actors within the impact ecosystem. Prior to joining AVPN, Dien built a diverse professional background across the development, startup, and technology sectors around client management and account partnerships. She later transitioned into the development space. Her passion for development was deeply shaped by her experience as a young educator with Indonesia Mengajar. There, she lived and worked in a remote area of Indonesia, building close relationships with the local people. This grounded her understanding of challenges in development work and strengthened her commitment to more inclusive and context-driven solutions. She is motivated by the opportunity to bridge grassroots realities with regional and global efforts, ensuring that solutions remain both strategic and grounded. Outside of work, Dien enjoys reading, practising yoga and bouldering. She also loves travelling and exploring new places, experiences that continue to shape her perspective on culture, people, and the many ways impact can be created across different contexts.
