A development professional with over 20 years of experience in the social sector, Dipali has worked in varied capacities leading different portfolios that include Programmes, HR OD and Fund Raising. Currently, Dipali works as Director- Organisational Effectiveness in ActionAid India. Dipali has led and has been part of critical organisational processes like organisational strategy formulation, strategy reviews, governance reviews, OD and culture reviews etc. She also leads the HR portfolio in ActionAid that involves developing key organisational HR policies including the ’ Anti Sexual Harassment Policy, the Grievance Redressal Mechanism, the Whistle blowing policy, the gender and diversity policy etc and putting in place operational mechanisms for their effective implementation. Dipali has also been instrumental in designing and implementing transformative leaderships building programmes, supporting conflict resolution and team building processes. Prior to this, Dipali worked as Head-Programmes in ActionAid supporting various processes to support effective programme implementation and these ranges from programme appraisals, reviews, impact assessments, designing etc. She has led successful delivery of large multi-regional initiatives supported by DFiD, European Commission, various UN arms etc. Currently, she also leads the youth engagement programme through various programmes and initiatives in colleges and universities. On another front, Dipali has been closely associated with the women’s rights work and has worked closely with women’s groups engaged in raising issues of mining and displacement, muslim women’s movement, working with conflict affected women in Kashmir, one billion rising international campaign on women’s rights, rights of women as workers including sex workers, women in caste based sex work, beedi worker, fisherwomen, domestic workers etc.
