Doug Miller lived in the UK for 30 years before moving back to the USA, from where he travels extensively to Asia and Europe. With a 38-year career in investment banking and private equity, Doug is the founder of International Private Equity Limited, a fund placement boutique. Doug was also a founding trustee of Impetus Trust in the UK; founding chairman and honorary president of European Venture Philanthropy Association (now known as Impact Europe); and founder of European Venture Philanthropy Fund. Following the success of Impact Europe (then EVPA), Doug also established AVPN, of which he serves as founding chairman. He is also the founder of AVPA, a Pan-African network for social investors, and Latimpacto, which covers the Latin American continent. Doug has been active in philanthropy for over 30 years – mainly in education, the environment and microcredit.
