Dr. Dhanalakshmi Ramachandra earned a doctoral degree in Plant Physiology from the University of Agricultural Sciences at Bangalore. She joined Monsanto as a Research Scientist in Biotechnology contributing to aspects ranging from gene selection, plant transformation to data mining and analytics. After over a decade in plant research, her passion towards community and social welfare, saw her transition from Biotechnology to CSR.

Currently, she leads CSR and Sustainability efforts at Monsanto and manages CSR projects on Sustainable Agriculture, Education and Health and Nutrition. Dr. Dhanalakshmi is from Bangalore and community service was always on her mind. She is living her dream while working with the farming community, women and students.
