About

Emily is the co-founder and CEO of Pillpresso -- a health-tech startup that seeks to improve medication adherence, and change the way we manage medicines for patients and loved ones. Prior to Pillpresso, Emily had a diverse track record working in hyper-growth startups, the Singapore government and in MNCs. In Lazada (acquired by Alibaba), Emily was the manager for the Home Appliances category, where she spearheaded the growth of the 2nd largest category in Singapore. In the Singapore Economic Development Board, Emily’s mandate was to create jobs and enhance Singapore’s role as a global business hub. This involved directly engaging global CEOs and senior management from F500 companies (e.g. Nestlé, The Coca-Cola Company) to attract foreign direct investment into Singapore. During her time in L’Oreal's Luxury Products Division, Emily was the only one recommended for a stint in the French headquarters. In parallel, she was a project leader with Conjunct Consulting. There, she led her team to devise a training strategy and roadmap for Bizlink, Singapore’s 2nd-largest employer of people with disabilities. In her free time, Emily volunteers with Lions Befrienders to provide support to the low-income, socially isolated elderly. She also enjoys wide-ranging conversations and learning about varied topics, especially those pertaining to healthcare, politics and bridging the income gap in developed countries. A thinker and doer, she has been regarded by her peers and superiors as one who does not shy away from challenging the status quo.
