Jennifer has over 15 years of experience in financial services and is passionate about social finance, economic development and sustainable growth of MSMEs. She joined Nexus for Development (“Nexus”) to drive its inspiring mission and to deepen its positive impact.
With the support of donors and the private sector, Nexus for Development provides expertise and fills the financing gaps to support the dissemination of affordable and appropriate clean energy and clean water technologies in developing countries across Asia. We help entrepreneurs scale up their projects by facilitating peer-to-peer knowledge exchange, and directly investing in enterprises operating in the region.
Jennifer has extensive background in corporate finance, asset management and business development and prior to joining Nexus managed an emerging markets debt portfolio for sub-Saharan Africa. She commenced her career in proprietary mergers and acquisitions at Merrill Lynch in New York City. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science in finance and economics and is currently pursuing a graduate program in environmental policy and international development at Harvard University. In addition to her role at Nexus, she serves as a non-executive director of several not-for-profit organizations focusing on financial inclusion and food security in frontier markets.
