Born in Beijing, educated in Taiwan and the US, Dr. Chiang received his Ph. D. from The Johns Hopkins University in 1975. He had taught several years in US and Taiwan universities, and served progressive technical and managerial roles at high tech companies such as Bell Laboratories and GTE Mobile in the US, and KG Telecom in Taiwan. He received an EMBA degree from Georgia State University in 1989. Dr. Chiang returned to China in 2000, and since then had assumed roles including Director of Motorola China R&D Instituteļ¼President of Motorola (China) Technologies, Partner of DragonBridge Capital, professor at School of Software and Microelectronics, Peking University, in which he had set up Global Innovation Research Center and served as its founding director, and President of the U.S. Information Technology Office (USITO). At year-end of 2015, Dr. Chiang assumed role of Managing Director of Social Venture Group in Shanghai, China.
