John Paul (known as JP) brings a unique combination of corporate, development and entrepreneurial experience to the support of philanthropy in India.
His corporate career spanned Sales and Commercial Strategy at PepsiCo and Virgin Media (the UK cable operator) with responsibility for multi-million dollar budgets, before moving to head corporate social responsibility at Virgin Media which included the innovative Virgin Media Pioneers program. A six month sabbatical with the Dasra Social Impact program exposed him to over 50 of India's leading social entrepreneurs and inspired him to start his own business in the UK – 18 months and multiple blue-chip clients later, the company was merged with the parent company when he moved to India to join Dasra and his Indian wife. He has since led the Funding & Collaboration team at Dasra for over 2 years, leveraging the organization’s abilities to support the philanthropic journey of multiple individuals, corporates and foundations to unlock millions of dollars for leading Indian NGOs and causes. He is now heading back to the UK to start the next stage in his career.
