Joohee Rand is an Associate Partner at Tideline, a leading global impact investing advisory firm. She leads firm’s client engagements and thought leadership related to impact strategy and management. Joohee joined Tideline in 2022, bringing over two decades of experience across global management consulting, health and community philanthropy, and impact investing.

Prior to joining Tideline, Joohee spent over a decade in senior leadership roles in US philanthropic sector, bringing collaborative partnerships and strategies for systems change and integrating impact investing as a core practice of foundations along with grantmaking programs. Earlier in her career, Joohee was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company. She was a member of the Corporate Finance & Strategy and Nonprofit Practices during her time at McKinsey based in San Francisco and Seoul Offices. She advised cross-sector clients ranging from global high tech and financial corporations to multi-billion-dollar national foundations and international health and aid organizations in various strategy, M&A, organization, performance management, and operations projects.

Joohee has served on various US national and regional impact investing and philanthropic boards and advisory committees including with Mission Investors Exchange, the New Mexico Impact Investing Collaborative, and the Rainmakers Investment Collaborative. Joohee holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School, a MPP in International Economic Policy from the KDI School of Public Policy and Management in Korea and a BA in General Management from Assumption University in Thailand.
