Josephine Price is Co-Founder and Managing Director of Anthem Asia, an independent, women-led investment group focused on investing in small- and medium-sized enterprises in Myanmar. The group's Anthem Asia Myanmar SME Venture Fund is backed by from IFC, the UK's CDC and DGGF of the Netherlands. The fund’s impact goals include promoting Myanmar’s growing SME sector, creating jobs, encouraging diversity and women-led businesses, improving transparency, and raising environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards.
Josephine currently serves on the investment committees of several private equity groups, social impact funds and family offices. She is a trustee of the Croucher Foundation in Hong Kong, and a co-founder and director of the Village People Project, a charity that works in rural areas of China.
Josephine has lived in Asia since 1983, originally working as a lawyer involved in workouts and restructurings, before moving into corporate finance and then private equity. She established and developed CLSA’s pan-Asian growth capital private equity platform from 1995 to 2008.
Josephine’s outside interests range from literature and poetry to swimming and adventure walking.
