Kamal Gaur has more than two decades of experience in large scale project development and management, especially for educational programmes in providing technical assistance. Her areas of expertise include formulation and management of work plans, resource mobilisation, evaluation, appraisals, planning and management, and monitoring education costing and budgeting for large scale projects.

Kamal is familiar with rural and backward regions in India, and has worked with communities and other rural institutions from villages to the State level as part of the District Primary Education Programme and SSA.

She has also worked closely with international agencies such as European Union, World Bank, Asian Development Bank, JBIC, DFID, etc. Kamal has travelled and worked extensively at the international level - she was part of a tri sector review study for 5 Asia countries including Cambodia, and worked as a Manager for South Asia Region for Development Alternatives.

With the EU higher education project she facilitated the first ever Higher Education Policy Dialogue between India and EU in Brussels. She has worked closely with higher education institutions in Germany, France, Poland, Denmark, Netherlands and Italy, as well as an education expert with DFID for assessment of DFlD's global contribution to GEWE.
