Jakira has over 18 years of experience in international cultural relations and international development. She has worked in diverse cultural contexts and in multi sector and stakeholder collaborations across the UK, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. She is currently the Regional Director Asia at the Social Enterprise Academy International CIC, leading strategy and partnerships in the region. The Academy has an impactful network of partner hubs across the globe supporting social entrepreneurs.

Previously, Jakira was the Regional Director for the British Council's social development portfolio in East Asia focused on social entrepreneurship, access to justice and civil society strengthening.
