Kyungsun Chung is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner at The Sylvan Group, an independent private investment management firm with an integrated ESG / Impact program. Being in charge of both corporate strategy and the impact investment process, he leads the firm’s effort in the analysis and due diligence of the potential investee companies’ ESG compliance and socio-economic impact activities. Prior to founding The Sylvan Group, Kyungsun was a Founder and CIO of Root Impact, a non-profit that focuses on building capacity for the social innovation sector in Korea. Furthermore, Kyungsun founded HG Initiative(HGI), an impact investment company that invests in social ventures in Korea. He also sits on the board of Rockefeller philanthropy advisors(RPA).
