Laura is Founder and CEO of Lighthouse Consultant Limited, a highly sought-after communications campaign consultancy based in Hong Kong. With over 10 years' experience in regional marketing and PR campaign management, Laura leads the company's strategic direction, business development and client relations. Lighthouse's clients range from multinational corporations to China-based companies, such as Asia Society, Bank of China (Hong Kong), Hong Kong Science Park, Ocean Park, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Macau Fisherman's Wharf, China Resources (Holdings), Education Bureau and Reader's Digest. Lighthouse received the 2012 Marketing Excellence Award Silver in Public Relations and the 2006 Innobrand Award for its creative and outstanding work.

Born in Kuala Lumpur, Laura is a Dutch-Shanghainese who speaks fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin. She is a seasoned public speaker, having triumphed as the Public Group Champion in both the Individual and Partnership categories at the Hong Kong Master of Ceremonies Competition in 2006. Since then Laura has assumed the role of master of ceremonies for hundreds of events. Widely-known for her professional emcee skills and international exposure, she is regularly invited to be a trainer and guest speaker by industry and academic bodies.

Laura is a dedicated and supportive alumna, and led the HKUST Alumni Association as its President from 2010-2012.
