Lisa Norton is an attorney and author of How To Be A Global Nonprofit: Legal and practical guidance for international activities (John Wiley & Sons, 2013). Lisa’s law practice concentrates on serving the legal needs of nonprofit organizations, particularly those with international activities. Previously, she served as international tax counsel to several major multinational corporations. Lisa holds a JD from Harvard Law School, a BA from the University of Rochester, and a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Washington.
Lisa is actively involved in the nonprofit community, currently serving as a board member of Social Venture Partners Seattle, Social Venture Partners International, and World Association for Children and Parents, an international adoption and child welfare organization.  A parent of four children spanning college to elementary school, Lisa is passionate about education, and is particularly interested in early learning.  She has served as SVP Seattle lead partner for various education-focused organizations, including Thrive By Five Washington, an organization dedicated to developing an effective early learning system for all children in Washington State.
