Mark is a Managing Director of Ashoka, the global network of the world’s leading social entrepreneurs. Since 1980, Ashoka has supported over 3,500 Fellows in more than 80 countries, providing them with stipends and support to help scale their ideas.  Ashoka also works closely with schools and universities, including more than 350 ‘Ashoka Changemaker Schools’ and ‘Ashoka Changemaker Campuses’ around the world, to help as many young people as possible become change-makers.  More than one third of the Ashoka Fellows work in education or directly with young people.
 
Mark is also the founder and CEO of impact investment firm Chelwood Capital, where he has helped raise over $200mn in funding for social causes. He is the author of the ‘Social Investment Toolkit’, a social entrepreneur’s guide to raising impact investment. Prior to joining Ashoka, Mark held senior positions at Deutsche Bank and AMBAC Assurance. He is a frequent writer and speaker on social finance and innovation.
