Mi Mi is Society Programmes Manager with 15 years’ experience at British Council. Skills for Social Entrepreneurs (SfSE) is one of the Society Programmes operated by the British Council which draws on the UK’s expertise to support the development of social enterprise and social investment in the UK and other countries and share best practice and create opportunities between them. She has a solid interest in the development of the community and has been involved in British Council society programmes since 2009 but previously worked for the Education and Arts programme for eight years before shifting her career focus to society programmes. She leads Skills for Social Entrepreneurs Programme and believes that Social Enterprises have the potential to help make Myanmar globally competitive while achieving inclusive growth and poverty alleviation. She has a strong desire to promote Social Enterprise which can play an important role in offering sustainable way to deliver public services and a way to compliment efforts by the government, civil society and the private sector to address entrenched social issues in a more sustainable way. Mi Mi holds a degree in Economics and a Master in Public Administration from Yangon Institute of Economics.
