Michael is Senior Manager at Elevate Social Businesses (formerly Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership). Elevate provides entrepreneurial solutions to fight poverty by building social agribusinesses around the world.

Michael's work focuses on analyzing agricultural value chains and business development. Most recently, he was working on developing social agribusinesses and proposing them for investment in the context of Elevate?s Southeast Asia expansion. Before he started to work on Elevate?s projects in Southeast Asia, he worked for Elevate?s soy and maize pilot project in Côte d?Ivoire. Driven by his curiosity and passion to find concrete solution to fight poverty, Michael traded an academic career for Africa?s red dirt roads: Prior to joining Elevate, he had was doing quantitative research in political economics at the University of Basel.

Michael holds a Master of Science in Economics from the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics and a Bachelor in Economics from the University of Basel.
