Natalie Chan is Managing Director of PIE Strategy Limited, a Certified B Corp® recognised on the global Best For The World list since 2018. She advises boards and senior executives across Asia-Pacific on turning sustainability, ESG and impact ambitions into sharper strategy, stronger governance and practical execution. Since 1996, Natalie has worked at the intersection of business, finance, public policy, and environmental and social impact. Since 2006, she established and led corporate sustainability functions at Swire Pacific and The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, leading the integration of sustainability into group strategy, management systems and decision-making. She founded PIE Strategy in 2017, and now supports multinational corporations, financial institutions and public-interest organisations — including Fortune Global 500 companies headquartered in Asia — as they navigate climate and sustainability transitions, strengthen resilience, respond credibly to rising stakeholder and regulatory expectations, and turn ambition into actionable roadmaps for change. Alongside her advisory work at PIE Strategy, Natalie serves as Senior Technical Advisor to the United Nations Development Programme in Asia-Pacific on impact measurement and management (IMM) and private capital mobilisation for sustainable development. Her work has included advising public-interest institutions on practical IMM frameworks, impact goals and monitoring systems; contributing to the design of climate and sustainable finance instruments, including blended finance facilities; and training and coaching enterprises to build more rigorous IMM approaches and stronger impact narratives. She is an Adjunct Associate Professor at The University of Hong Kong, where she teaches postgraduate students on integrating sustainability into business and investment. She is also an Accredited Trainer for the UNDP SDG Impact Standards and a Certified Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR®) professional. Natalie holds an Executive MBA from INSEAD and Tsinghua University, a master’s degree in Corporate Environmental Governance from The University of Hong Kong, and the FT Non-Executive Director Diploma. Additionally, she is a Salzburg Global Fellow in Corporate Governance. An advocate for mobilising private capital for sustainable development and purpose-driven business, Natalie serves in board and advisory roles with organisations including Natixis Foundation of Natixis Corporate and Investment Banking, B Lab Hong Kong & Macau, Social Value Hong Kong and Our Hong Kong Foundation.
