Nick leads the IAPB development team working at the intersection of private / public / NGO eye health to create sustainable and lasting change.  

Nick has extensive experience of building trusted corporate / foundation / NGO partnerships both in the UK and internationally throughout his career.  As part of the IAPB global leadership team, Nick enables new supporters, funders and partners to positively engage with eye health as an enabler to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.  

Today, at least 2.2 billion people have a vision impairment and of these, at least 1 billion have a vision impairment that could have been prevented or is yet to be addressed.  This is estimated to cost the global economy over US$3 trillion every year.   

Working across the network Nick connects new partners and supporters with impact led opportunities to: 

? Target in-country / regional programs and activities that deliver clear outcomes, impacts to accelerate eye health services.

? Develop and connect with authoritative knowledge and data that is widely used in the effective planning and delivery of 
  eye care services.

? Support global level advocacy at the UN and World Health Organisation. Building links to vision and the Development Goals across Health, Poverty, Education, Gender Equality, Decent Work, Reduced Inequalities and Partnerships for the Goals.
