Nicky Wynne leads Global Fund for Children UK Trust. 

Nicky is passionate about fundraising and has worked in the international nonprofit sector for over 28 years. Her previous role, as international director of development for the Mission to Seafarers, resulted in a relocation to Singapore in 2015 to establish an East Asia regional office; under her leadership, annual donations in the region doubled from 2015 to 2016. Before working for the Mission to Seafarers, Nicky was director of development for St. John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital Group, where she led offices in London, Brussels, and East Jerusalem and was an active fundraiser in the Middle East. Her career path has given her extensive experience in providing leadership in a global setting to help charities execute and deliver successful fundraising and marketing plans. She enjoys working closely with internal and external stakeholders, and her collaborative approach has raised over $64.5 million for charities, mainly through major donor giving, trust income, and corporate support. Her work was recognized by Queen Elizabeth II in 2011, when she was awarded the St. John Cross for innovative fundraising work. Nicky holds a master’s degree in European cultural policy and administration from Warwick University and a bachelor’s degree, with honors, in creative art and community development from Newcastle University.
