Pushkar is a development practitioner and is currently part of the sustainable rural development team at A.T.E Chandra Foundation. He brings forth 7+ years of work experience out of which he has spent the last 5 years working at the grassroots in Jharkhand and Rajasthan. His work has largely revolved around building collective institutions of poor women and labour groups/union. He sees collective action as a prerequisite to socio-economic change and has indulged deeply on issues concerning democratic decentralization, worker?s rights, women?s rights, Adivasi rights and rural livelihoods . Prior to that he worked as an Electrical engineer with Jindal Steels. He is a graduate in Electrical and electronics engineering from Manipal University and completed his post graduate studies from Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA). He is a fan of classic rock music and loves to travel in the mountains.
