Rui Wang currently works for UNDP China as a National Consultant, managing the Philanthropy & Civil Society portfolio. Her work engages the government, charitable organizations, institutes and the private sector to research, advocate and advise on China's philanthropic sector. Rui is the author of ?Internet Philanthropy in China?, issued by UNDP China in November 2016; ?Capacity Building for CSOs in China? under partnership with CSPSR (China Research Society for Public Sector Reform), published in December 2016 and ?Philanthropy for Sustainable Development in China?, under partnership with CFC (China Foundation Center). Her recent priorities include promoting, localising and mapping China's Philanthropic sector under the SDGs, identifying big data and innovation initiatives in Philanthropy and advising on China Charity Law and INGO law implementations. Prior to joining UNDP, she started her career in consulting firm; later she discovered her passion for the development field and extended her experience in foundations overlooking various programs and operations. She is also holds an MBA, ESSEC (École supérieure des sciences économiques et commerciales).
