Sarah is currently leading Corporate Social Responsibility for IBM Singapore and Malaysia. In this role, she manages social impact programs and community engagement; rallying employees and business units to volunteer in a sustainable fashion and using technology for good. Growing up, Sarah was exposed to giving back to society from her time as a Leo under Lions International. She is a regular volunteer at elderly homes and youth programs. During her time abroad in University, Sarah was exposed to global issues such as poverty, inequality, mental health and lack of access to education. She spent her time with professionals in the field and focused her thesis on civil society and the role they play in policymaking. Sarah launched her career at Edelman Singapore as a Public Relations Executive and started the companyĆ¢??s first Green Team, educating colleagues to recycle and reduce waste. She later joined Citi SingaporeĆ¢??s Corporate Affairs team, managing Internal Communications, Media Relations, Events Planning and Corporate Citizenship. During this time, she honed her communication and business skills, and continued to volunteer on the sideline. She was also posted to the Philippines and New York to advance her learning and passion in social impact work. Coming from a humble background and raised in a culture of paying it forward, Sarah hopes to improve lives of the underserved. In her free time, Sarah enjoys Hiking, Cardio Sports, Yoga and Bachata (Latin Dance). Sarah holds a BA in Communication Studies and a BA (Hons) in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Western Australia.
