Save the Date for AVPN Events
Sonia is an experienced finance and treasury professional. Most recently she held the position of Asia Pacific Regional Treasurer of Johnson & Johnson (J&J) based in Singapore . Her responsibilities covered cash and liquidity management including investment and lending activities of the Asia Pacific affiliates of J&J. She also provided treasury direction to affiliates with respect to M&A transactions, funding requests and risk management solutions incorporating currency, capital structure and economic risk prevention. She was also the global treasury process lead responsible for the implementation of treasury related projects. Throughout her 26 years tenure with Johnson & Johnson she held various positions in finance and treasury in Singapore and Australia . Earlier in her career , Sonia worked at the Medical Benefits Fund of Australia and Coopers & Lybrand (now PWC). Sonia is a graduate of the University of Wollongong in Australia , with a degree in Commerce . She is a qualified Chartered Accountant , holds a diploma in Applied Finance and Investment and is a fellow of the Finance and Treasury Association of Australia. Sonia was an active member of the executive committee of the Association of Corporate Treasurers in Singapore (ACTS) and currently serves on the board of the Asian Venture Philanthropy Network (AVPN).
