Smruti Das has close to 10 years of cross sectoral and functional experience across corporate and non-profit sectors. A post graduate from the Madras School of Economics, Smruti started her career as a Macroeconomic and Industry Analyst, working in organizations such as Frost & Sullivan and JP Morgan, where she worked with a global team on research reports and consulting assignments.
She started her stint in the development sector, six years ago, as a researcher in Concern India Foundation where she worked on needs assessment, impact evaluation and other research studies. In 2012, Smruti joined the NASSCOM Foundation and is now a part of the leadership team, heading the Social Innovation and CSR verticals. With extensive work with tech for good projects, social start-ups & Innovators, NGOs and CSR teams, she covers a big part of the development value chain – from conceptualization to implementation. Smruti is involved in new initiatives at the Foundation and is the lead curator of the CSR leadership Conference.
She spends her free time drinking copious amounts of tea and insisting that everyone read the Harry Potter books. In the team, Smruti is the official go to person for cooking requests of exotic food, bad jokes & Dumbledore inspired guidance. In her free time, Smruti enjoys reading voraciously, traveling, photography, old Hindi music and singing.
