As President, Susan is responsible for leading and championing the Award, Asia's premier prize and highest honor. She is in charge of overall strategic leadership in the areas of operations, administration, sustainability, governance and donor relations to achieve the organization's vision and mission. Since 1957, RMAF represents and celebrates greatness of spirit and transformative leadership. In the six decades since the Award's creation, it has been bestowed to over 330 outstanding individuals and organizations whose selfless service has offered successful solutions to some of the most pressing problems in human development. It is complemented with the Ramon Magsaysay Transformative Leadership Institute (RMTLI) that supports the awardees' work and their advocacies in 21 Asian countries. After 30+ years of working in the United States for a Fortune 500 Global Staffing Firm, Robert Half International, Susan transitioned back to the Philippines in 2014 and has since worked in the nonprofit sector. She previously served as the Managing Director of ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation (ALKFI), the socio-civic arm of, ABS-CBN Broadcasting Network where together with the Chairman and the Board of Trustees, she helped set policies, strategize on goals, fundraise and manage operations to make sure it is aligned with the advocacies of the Foundation that center on Children, the Environment and Disaster Relief and Rehabilitation. She continues to serve as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation. Susan has held a variety of leadership positions in the field of recruitment for 30 years in the United States including District President of Robert Half International in Southern California. Robert Half is a $4.2B professional staffing services company with over eleven thousand employees in more than 400 locations worldwide. In 2005, she was recognized as its number one Regional Manager in the world. Susan graduated from Ateneo de Manila University with a degree in Communications in 1980.
