As Assistant Director, Engagement at AVPN, Tenniel Tao has a background in building bridges and a passion for sustainable impact. A Certified ESG Analyst (CESGA) and Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (MCIPR), where he is an Accredited Practitioner, he aims to support AVPN’s mission to connect communities and ideas across Asia. His career spans education, start-ups, retail, real estate, and environmental consultancy, honing his engagement skills. As Senior Manager at the University of Hong Kong, he helped shape strategies advancing ESG goals for its sustainability research institute. At HKU Business School, he led high-profile events and projects, linking academics, businesses, and the community to pursue shared objectives. Outside academia, he supported a food delivery platform during a major Hong Kong labour strike, gaining insight into sustaining engagement under pressure. A part-time university lecturer, Tenniel has taught public relations and sustainability, sharing practical lessons with students. Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA), he hopes to continue contributing to sustainability efforts with a thoughtful, supportive approach.
