Dr. Thoa has been working in Vietnam Rural Industries Research and Development Institute (VIRI) for 26 years. Dr. Thoa is also a project coordinator for the International Trade Center for the Shetrades program.
 
She has 26 years of experience in incubating and supporting SMEs toward social and environmental sustainability. She has been involved in more than 200 development projects and contributing to bringing back better lives for local people, especially for women in rural areas of Viet Nam. She is a senior expert in Fair Trade, green public procurement, sustainable development and strategic planning.

Dr. Thoa graduated DBA at European University in 2014 as the best doctorate student in Asia in 2013, . She was team leader in building up national export strategies for different handicraft and agricultural sectors.
