About

Tiong Hui is currently Manager of the Base-of-Pyramid (BoP) Innovation Lab at EssilorLuxottica, focusing on supporting the international expansion of the Group’s Sustainable Programmes to bring eyeglasses to consumers in emerging markets. On a daily basis, he works on helping to scale the organisation’s social impact and finding innovative ways to bring awareness of and access to good vision to BoP consumers. Tiong Hui also leads the Group’s social impact-focused Web3 initiatives, exploring the use of emerging technologies to achieve the organisation’s impact objectives.
 
Previously, he was Assistant Director of Strategic Development at the education consultancy of the Singapore Teachers’ Union, leading the organisation’s international expansion and forging strategic partnerships with like-minded partners in the private and public sectors, working together to uplift the standards of teacher training across multiple countries. 

Tiong Hui has a background in Business Management, having majored in Finance and Corporate Communication at the Singapore Management University on a scholarship from the Singapore National Co-operative Federation (SNCF). He also holds an MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology.
