Tommy Boukhris believes in creating opportunities and engaging key stakeholders to drive progress.

Tommy is the Cambodia Advisor for AVPN, and is also Senior Consultant and Portfolio Manager with Emerging Markets Consulting (EMC), a strategy and management consulting company.  At EMC he leads growth strategy and corporate/SME finance projects.  With experience in both private and public sectors, he drives strategic projects, strategy development, corporate communications, and manages and mitigates risks.  

Prior to EMC, Tommy worked for Canadia Group, a large and multi-faceted organization, where he led strategy, business development, and communications for the Group’s medical and healthcare services business and hospitality business.  Prior to this, he led Canadia Bank’s financial institutions department, and managed relationships with key regional and international FI partners.  Previously, Tommy served as Project Manager/Chief of Staff, where he drove strategic initiatives and communication strategies for the Bank and Group.

While in government, he managed internal communications and legislative affairs for one of the largest public health agencies in the United States, provided structural organization and communications continuity after the merger of 24 agencies into five.  Tommy also served as legislative analyst.

Tommy holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science / International Relations, and a Master of Public Administration in International Relations.
