Wendy is Chief Philanthropy Officer for The Asia Foundation, overseeing the strategic direction and daily management of private sector fundraising from foundations, corporations, and individuals. She formerly was the Director of Global Corporate Development & Strategic Partnerships for Asia Society. In this role, she worked closely with the VP of Programs to fund global program initiatives across eleven global centers. Wendy previously served as the Director of Development for the Chinese American International School, recipient of the prestigious Award for Excellence in International Education from the Goldman Sachs Foundation and Asia Society. She brings 16+ years of experience in development and consulting in the non-profit profession. With the United Way, she directed a successful a corporate campaign, and in 1984 she worked on the national Torch Relay for the Los Angeles Olympics, raising $12+ million for youth sports. She currently resides on the Bay Area Council’s Gender Equity Committee, the Asia Society’s Diversity Advisory Council, and is a member of ASCEND. Wendy served on the advisory board with Kearny Street Workshop, SF Symphony Chinese New Year committee and is a member of AFP and DER. She has also taught at the state university and junior college levels. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Nevada.
