About

Anna has more than 20 years’ experience of designing and leading humanitarian, development and philanthropy initiatives across the Middle East, South Asia and Africa. She has unique insight of the social impact eco system, from the smallest grass root organisations to global multilateral partnerships from working for the UN, World Bank, private philanthropy and NGOs and understands the forms of collaborations required for achieving both immediate humanitarian relief and system change. Anna has extensive programmatic knowledge of crisis response and public health programmes from working with Médecins Sans Frontières and of poverty alleviation, rural entrepreneurship, child rights, women’s economic empowerment and community development from her roles with Plan International, Hand in Hand and Thardeep Rural Development Programme. Anna is also highly experienced in education, youth, skills and employability from working for Dubai Cares as senior technical advisor. Having been based in Pakistan and the Middle East for the past 18 years, Anna has helped devise strategic partnerships between private sector, HNWIs, corporations, government, multilaterals, academia and non-profits to find solutions to social challenges both in the Middle East, Pakistan and beyond. As a senior development advisor, she acts as jury member at social accelerators and incubators to identify and help grow innovative solutions for social impact. Anna holds a Masters in International Relations from London School of Economics and lives with her family in the UAE.
