Kurt is Director, Special Projects at AVPN. He currently focuses on piloting the launch of a Global Leadership Academy which will facilitate South-South learning.

Kurt has gained deep experience in different components of the impact world: He has worked for and with large NGO’s (eg MSF, UN), small non-profits and innovative social entrepreneurs (eg Ashoka); for foundations (Co-Impact), for local government (city of Antwerp), and for the leading European network of venture philanthropists & impact investors (EVPA) He most recently was Europe Director of Synergos' Global Philanthropist Circle. He has taken on positions as executive director, strategy consultant and member of the board. He has also launched a number of non-profit initiatives. Kurt has experience working in Europe, Africa, and Asia, and speaks fluently Dutch, English and French. Kurt lives in Belgium with his wife and two daughters.
