In her role as Executive Director – South Asia, Lavanya will lead efforts in establishing AVPN in the region and increase awareness of our initiatives to members across Corporates, Foundations, Trusts, Individuals etc.Lavanya has made this swerve into the Social sector, after 20 years in the Corporate world across areas of Marketing, Strategy, Brand and Identity Management, Digital and Social Media Marketing, Communication, Sales Enablement, Integration Management, Content Management, Organisation Design, and HR Systems Design. Her last corporate role was as Chief Marketing Officer at Zensar Technologies (a 600+ M $ digital transformation company). She spent 12 years in the company leading its marketing success. Earlier Lavanya worked in Communications at Tata Motors (the largest automobile manufacturer in India). More recently she has been a passionate change agent focused on driving innovative business strategies and business improvements for technology companies. Lavanya is the co-author of two books – The first one published in 2015 is “What We Really Want- Aspirations of Gen Y” targeted towards the Gen Y looking for meaningful careers in the tech industry, and a second Bloomsbury publication in 2021 called “Accelerating Digital Success” targeted towards CEOs and leaders, helping reimagine organisations for a post COVID-19 world. Apart from this, Lavanya is passionate about education, and has contributed in Montessori education. She has led content development and course design for employability training in the IT industry, ensuring industry alignment of content and quality service delivery as part of her work with Global Talent Track. Lavanya is a Masters in Communication Studies specialized in Media Research from Pune University, and holds a Bachelors in Journalism, Psychology and English Literature from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore University.
