As AVPN's Regional Director for South Asia, Lavanya spearheads initiatives to establish the organization's presence in India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. Her primary focus is nurturing the social investment ecosystem across various sectors including philanthropy, corporate entities, foundations, trusts, impact funds, and DFIs. Her overarching goal is to foster greater collaboration among funders and channel more capital towards impactful endeavors in the region. Transitioning from a dynamic 20-year career in corporate realms spanning marketing, strategy, brand management, digital and social media marketing, communication, sales enablement, integration management, content management, organization design, and HR systems design, Lavanya brings a wealth of diverse expertise to the social sector. A co-author of two insightful books, Lavanya's work reflects her commitment to addressing contemporary challenges. "What We Really Want: Aspirations of Gen Y," published in 2015, offers invaluable insights for tech-savvy millennials seeking fulfilling careers. Her Bloomsbury publication, "Accelerating Digital Success" (2021), targets CEOs and leaders, providing strategies for organizational reinvention in a post-COVID-19 landscape. Lavanya holds a Master's in Communication Studies with a specialization in Media Research from Pune University. She also earned a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Psychology, and English Literature from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore University.
