Golden Rock Capital is a pan-Asia focused Strategic Consulting firm specializing in M&A, Private Equity and Corporate Finance. Marvin has been involved in the Asian emerging markets and Impact Investing for the past 16 years, first with the Asian Development Bank, where he was a Senior Financing Specialist responsible for  the ADB’s Syndications Operations and then with Frontier Investment & Development Partners (FIDP), which he co-founded in 2008 to focus on direct investment opportunities in the Asian frontier markets. During this time, FIDP has helped conceive, structure and raise the Mongolia Opportunities Fund (in 2010) and the Myanmar Strategic Opportunities Fund (in 2014), as well as execute deals in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam before merging with Golden Rock Capital. 

Prior to joining the ADB, Marvin worked with Barclays Capital, Nomura International and Deutsche Bank in London and Hong Kong, where he specialized in Debt / Equity-linked Origination, Syndications and Derivatives Structuring. Over the course of his career, Marvin has also taught post-graduate finance at the University of the Philippines, been an F&B entrepreneur in Singapore and an Industrial Engineer in Australia. He holds an MBA from INSEAD, a B.Eng from Monash University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He is also an avid sportsman with a keen interest in the humanities.
